Abstract

The present paper approaches some reflections about the periphery process in São Luís city,intensified in the decade of 1990, and how the black lidovicense youth through Hip Hop got political organizedand resisted, through the art, to the socioeconomic problemsresulting from the disordered urbanization of the maranhense capital.
